Pros: one of the better burgers I've had (the Celtic) with lots of flavor to the meat itself. Steak and cheese tots were a meal unto itself and didn't have cheese whiz which was a welcome relief. Salad was well dressed, chilly and crisp. Ambience is lots of TVs--makes you excited for a future Sunday football day or March Madness camp out for ours on end. That is until...
Cons: main reason for only four stars was the cost. Casinos restaurants I've been to elsewhere typically keep food costs aligned to their local rates because they are looking to get people into the tables and have them lose their money there. At the Burger bar literally everything on the menu --burgers, drinks, you name it --was about 20-30% more expensive than I'd have expected it to be anywhere in Boston.
For a burger salad, a burger, one of the cheaper apps, one beer and a soda it was $80 before tip. And this at supposedly the more affordable casual sports bar of the encore...
My next trip to the encore will probably not include another visit to this or any of the other restaurants--It will make me less likely I'll go to the casino and lose all my money. Maybe I should be thankful that the food is less of a draw...
Final word: There is some comfort in knowing that If you're going to take the hit and overspend at least it will be for good quality food. But it still sucks to overpay like you're at Fenway or the Garden -

Awful $18. Burger no fries or chips was told burgers were ala carte.
Burger was cooked into the ground I sent it back and had them take it off the bill. Prices ridicules A Burger, Fries and a Shake will cost you $41.00

Service was EXTREMELY SLOW. Wasn't sure if this was done on purpose--it was THATTT slow. However bartender had a good personality and was friendly? Sooo was a bit confused by the almost 13 minute estimated wait time it took to make 4 of the MOST basic mixed drinks- 2 Tito's and sodas, gin/pineapple & a captain and coke. I've been a bartender for 15 years and that would have taken me no longer then 3 minutes! Then the bill for our 4 drinks---$56!!! She literally measured each pour out & I think it may have been a shot and a half (I hope for that price)l! So a round of drinks with the tip is nearly $70! Crazy!!
Was going to grab a bite but decided to try Fratelli since it was still open- because if that was any indication of how service was going to be then we would have been there ALL NIGHT. Not many options as far as bars/restaurants in this Casino- so considering this was 1 of only 3-6 bars they really need to kick it up a notch... 2 stars and C+ for effort -

The food was just ok. Cost four of us almost $200 for a drink each 3 chicken sandwiches, a burger and tator tots.
The service however was awful. We sat for almost 15minutes before our waiter came. Then waited another 15 for drinks and to order. When the food did come out no tator tots. I found the waiter after about another 15 minutes and told him. They finally came out and where gross. They where cold and had an onion taste to them. We couldn't find the waiter to complain.
Finally after two hours and five innings of the Red Sox we where able to hit the gambling area.
Don't go eat at McDonald's before hand! -

The restaurant is visually pleasing however the wait on a Saturday to get food once seated was horrible over 30 min. The clam chowder , tasted as if it was canned and appeared very watery. I had the cheeseburger salad and I did enjoy though the birthday man I wraith did not it very much went right through him. The other 2 people enjoyed their American Burgers without fries as that is another charge.
We also had the tater tots they were ok. This place defiantly did not meet our expectation. It was disappointing.
